Job Summary

Lead and develop the Design Management team across UK and international projects, driving design governance, processes and quality while coordinating with leaders to deliver contractual design outputs and manage risk and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Design Management projects across the UK and Internationally, managing the DM team and coordinating with team leaders.
•Mentor and train DM team members, conduct performance reviews and support leadership in business development and planning.
•Oversee the design management governance, processes, sub-consultants, and ensure outputs meet contractual obligations.
•Manage the DM financial process and invoicing, and contribute to business planning with ongoing target reviews.
•Establish team structure, governance, design coordination, approvals, risk, quality, and reporting of project performance.

Key Requirements

•Architectural, Engineering or Consultancy background (8+ years PQE) or an equivalent industry standard qualification that demonstrates an understanding of the design and construction process.
•Understanding of the design process and project and design programming skills.
•Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
•Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness of projects, construction knowledge and proficiency in MS Project/Excel.
•Due to the nature of some projects, applicants will be required to obtain SC Clearance.
