Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in planning, compilation, and preparation of the Biennial Work Plan, including allocation of regular and extra-budgetary funds by projects.
  • •Ensure budgetary clearance for project proposals and requests and advise on remedial or alternative actions in line with financial regulations and procedures.
  • •Provide financial services such as reviewing vouchers, issuing payment instructions, and analyzing cases requiring supervisor decisions.
  • •Prepare, analyze, and evaluate work plan, accounting, and other financial reports for management use.
  • •Coordinate recording of financial transactions and ensure reconciliation and monthly and annual closure of eImprest accounts, including timely replenishment.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of Secondary School.
  • •10+ years of relevant experience with emphasis on program management and/or budget and financial monitoring.
  • •Good knowledge of the WHO program management and end-to-end business processes in the Global Management System.
  • •Good knowledge of GSM/BMS (or similar ERP systems) and ability to use WHO Results-Based Management processes.
  • •Expert knowledge of English; university degree in Finance/Management/Public Administration and related postgraduate/project-management certification are desirable.
