Job Summary

Consultant delivering workplace health, safety and HazMat solutions for clients in commercial, industrial and residential settings. You will perform hazard exposure assessments, asbestos/HazMat audits, monitoring, data interpretation and high-quality reporting, while supporting small to mid-sized projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide hazard control strategy advice including elimination, engineering, administrative controls and PPE
•Conduct workplace exposure assessments across chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards
•Conduct Asbestos and HazMat audits in commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residential properties; develop asbestos monitoring and remediation strategies; issue clearances
•Undertake field-based occupational hygiene monitoring (air sampling, noise, dust, fibres)
•Analyse data, interpret results and prepare high-quality technical reports

Key Requirements

•Ideally a degree or diploma in Applied Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline
•Asbestos Assessor License or relevant experience to obtain
•Demonstrated experience in occupational hygiene or a related field
•Hands-on experience in hazard identification, exposure monitoring and risk assessment
•Experience using air sampling equipment and interpreting results (e.g. dust, fibres, asbestos)
