Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform neurologic history and physical exam and conduct neurodiagnostic tests with a focus on multiple sclerosis.
  • •Order and interpret neurologic tests including EEG, EMG, and neuroimaging studies (CT, MRI, and PET).
  • •Prescribe and/or administer medication and treatment for neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis including infusion therapy.
  • •Monitor the side effects of treatment with knowledge of high efficacy disease-modifying therapy for multiple sclerosis.
  • •Counsel patients and caregivers on neurologic diagnoses and disorders with a focus on multiple sclerosis.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed a three-year residency in a US ACGME accredited neurology program.
  • •Successful completion of the USMLE.
  • •One- or two-year neurology fellowship in multiple sclerosis.
  • •ABPN Board-certified neurologist (Board-eligible if less than two years since residency/fellowship training completed).
  • •Current medical license and eligible to obtain Florida medical license; Current federal DEA license.
