Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor software, professional services, corporate services, equipment, data licenses, NDAs, independent contractor engagements, and event sponsorships
  • •Assess and advise on risks related to AI usage by vendors, including data usage rights, model training limitations, liability allocation, and compliance with AI regulations
  • •Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, People Operations, Privacy, and Security to develop processes and enforce policies for global contracting
  • •Create and maintain templates, playbooks, and processes to enable scalable contracting and deploy software/systems for efficiency
  • •Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms, revisions, and common process questions while training teams on procurement processes

Key Requirements

  • •JD degree or equivalent from an accredited law school with professional licensing to practice law
  • •3-5 years of relevant experience, specifically negotiating SaaS agreements
  • •Direct experience with strategic business agreements, information security and compliance, intellectual property, and privacy matters including data protection agreements
  • •Familiarity with AI and ML legal/commercial issues including data usage rights, model training limitations, and liability allocation
  • •Strong negotiation skills and ability to create practical strategies to reduce company risk
