Key Responsibilities

  • •Co-lead and grow ADIA Lab’s Trustworthy AI research program and define its strategic direction with Fellows and the Advisory Board.
  • •Drive research across machine learning, statistics, causal inference, optimization, and computational science to advance trustworthy AI goals.
  • •Create methodologies for auditing, evaluating, and validating AI systems, including LLMs and emerging AI architectures.
  • •Develop open-source software, benchmark datasets, evaluation frameworks, and reproducible research methodologies for the Trustworthy AI ecosystem.
  • •Supervise and mentor junior scientists and communicate outcomes through publications, white papers, policy-oriented reports, and representation at major events.

Key Requirements

  • •Expand and co-lead a Trustworthy AI research program focused on reliable, transparent, and responsible AI systems.
  • •Lead cross-disciplinary research using machine learning, statistics, causal inference, optimization, and domain expertise to address explainability, robustness, fairness, safety, governance, and accountability.
  • •Develop methods to understand, audit, evaluate, and validate AI systems, including large language models and foundation models.
  • •Conduct research on interpretability, robustness to distribution shifts and adversarial attacks, uncertainty quantification, and trustworthy deployment in high-stakes settings.
  • •PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Science, or a related field; demonstrated post-PhD research and coordination ability (preferably 5+ years).
