Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage production operations of multiple departments across multiple shifts.
  • •Lead and motivate employees for maximum productivity, coaching and counseling as needed.
  • •Drive continuous improvement and safety initiatives, including participation in the Safety Committee.
  • •Manage department cost, profitability, and inventory while ensuring compliance with UFP policies and applicable law.
  • •Prepare reports and maintain required records; may drive a forklift and perform hazardous material handling duties when assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Post high school education is required.
  • •3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, with 1 to 3 years managing people.
  • •Strong communication skills, including speaking clearly and engaging listeners to ask pertinent questions.
  • •Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI, plus training on UFP policies and main page navigation.
  • •Knowledge of Precise Plant Quality Program, continuous improvement (5S and TPM), and safety practices including LOTO and machine audits.
