Key Responsibilities

  • •Support planning, design, execution, and reporting of assay development and validation studies under a design control quality system.
  • •Prepare and characterize contrived clinical samples at whole blood, plasma, or cell-free DNA (cfDNA) levels.
  • •Write study plans, execution protocols, research reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • •Process laboratory specimens using LIMS and database queries to track and verify work.
  • •Conduct independent experimentation including reagent preparation and QC for NGS assays, and maintain lab notebooks and communicate findings through reports and presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. with 2–5 years experience, M.S. with 2+ years experience, or Ph.D. with 0–2 years industry experience.
  • •Proven industrial experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) assays and protocols.
  • •Hands-on molecular biology experience including nucleic acid extractions, PCR, NGS library preparation, hybrid capture, and DNA quantitation.
  • •Experience with high-throughput sample processing and automated liquid handling in a CLIA lab environment.
  • •Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) such as stability testing, guard banding, and reproducibility/repeatability validations.
