Job Summary

Support assay development and validation for the Organ Health business unit in a predominantly laboratory-based role. Plan, execute, and report design-control studies; prepare and characterize clinical samples across whole blood, plasma, and cfDNA; and develop and validate NGS assays including QC. Work with cross-functional scientists and lab/automation teams, using LIMS and database tracking while maintaining rigorous lab documentation, notebooks, SOPs, and research reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, design, execute, and report assay development and validation studies under a design control quality system.
•Prepare and characterize contrived clinical samples at whole blood, plasma, or cfDNA levels.
•Write study plans, execution protocols, research reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•Process laboratory specimens using LIMS and database queries for tracking and verification.
•Conduct independent experiments, including reagent preparation and QC for NGS assays; document results and communicate findings via reports and lab presentations.

Key Requirements

•B.S. with 2–5 years of experience, M.S. with 2+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 0–2 years of industry experience.
•Proven industrial experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) based assays and protocols.
•Hands-on nucleic acid and DNA/RNA molecular biology experience (extractions, PCR, NGS library preparation, hybrid capture, DNA quantitation).
•Experience with high-throughput sample processing and automated liquid handling equipment in a CLIA lab environment.
•Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) methods (stability testing, guard banding, reproducibility/repeatability validations) and basic statistical analysis.
