Engineer, Methanol Production

Provide production engineering support for the methanol unit at the LaPorte Texas Chemical Complex, monitoring and optimizing daily operations to improve safety, environmental compliance, product quality, capacity, yield, and energy usage. Troubleshoot issues, coordinate across departments to resolve production problems, and develop process improvement systems and projects. Perform design calculations, support small capital projects with process simulations and diagrams, lead process hazard analyses and management of change, and mentor engineers through technical training.
