Job Summary

Manage leather sourcing and development for Coach and Kate Spade, tracking key project milestones and substitutions across Asia teams to support on-time production. Coordinate design trips and follow up on color standards, proxies, samples, and leather issues. Oversee leather testing and share results, drive new leather development with tanneries in China, and perform costing for exotic leathers while partnering cross-functionally to resolve risks and keep sampling materials on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

•Track and follow up key milestones and special projects, including managing leather substitutions and proactively monitoring MIF updates for on-time production.
•Coordinate and support design trips for Coach and Kate Spade (~8 trips per year), ensuring logistics and timely follow-up on action items.
•Follow up color standards and Color Proxies with NY LM and field teams and dispatch materials to SPs, RMS, etc.
•Oversee leather testing activities, share test reports/results with NY LM, and call out failures for improvement with field teams.
•Support materials approval and sourcing: facilitate timely stock leather approvals, coordinate FFP HB samples/testing, and purchase leather from SPs when needed; also drive new leather development with tanneries in China and perform exotic leather costing.

Key Requirements

•Professional in leather with extensive hands-on experience across leather development, milestone management, costing, and leather issue resolution.
•Deliver leather appreciation sessions and presentations to cross-functional teams including PD, Design, SPs, RMS, and MM.
•Strong ownership and team spirit: follow up on tasks, provide timely feedback, and respond to stakeholders without delays.
•Thorough understanding of end-to-end workflows with ability to mitigate potential risks and impacts.
•Good computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and data presentation.
