Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct searches on prior art (literature, patents) and competitive activity and summarize outcomes in reports.
  • •Perform laboratory experiments and analyze/interprete results to recommend next steps to the project team.
  • •Coordinate, summarize, and report data generated from experiments.
  • •Record data in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and other archiving databases as appropriate, communicating results to teams and partners.
  • •Present research findings to management with recommendations for future new product development or applied research projects at the end of the internship.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently a Bachelor’s or Master’s student with progress toward a degree in food science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
  • •Laboratory research experience (as part of your coursework or experience).
  • •Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment.
  • •Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills, including writing technical reports and making presentations.
  • •Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship intended) and ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer internship.
