Job Summary

Ensure proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment by troubleshooting electrical and electronic malfunctions and completing repairs and maintenance. Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area, install wiring and conduit for new machinery, and operate mechanical tasks as directed. Diagnose issues, replace or repair faulty components, calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications, and read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings. Prepare maintenance reports and maintain tools and electrical parts stock.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and machinery and troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions.
•Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area.
•Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
•Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery, discuss issues with facility personnel, and replace or repair faulty components.
•Calibrate and adjust equipment to manufacturer specifications and prepare maintenance reports; read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly schematics.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent or completion of technical school or equivalent training, experience, and education.
•At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions.
•Knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially for electrical and mechanical operations.
•Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
•Full knowledge of three phase 480 volt equipment and working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces, and the National Electrical Code.
