Key Responsibilities

•Research property rights through internal and external sources and obtain legal or deed descriptions and real estate market data from public records
•Review appraisals and prepare opinions and recommendations of fair market value for property purchases, easements, leases, permits and construction-related damages
•Gather title work materials to determine ownership information and examine title policies, certificates or commitments and abstracts of title
•Investigate site and route selection analyses for land purchases or leasing opportunities and make recommendations
•Negotiate and prepare legal instruments using standard Real Estate templates for disposal of fee interests, easements, leases, licenses, permits, agreements and property damages

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required (Business, Economics, Engineering, Management, or Real Estate) or four years of relevant real estate experience in lieu of degree
•Three years of relevant real estate experience required; nonresidential real estate experience strongly preferred
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint required; basic understanding of law, engineering, surveying, appraisals and contracts also required
•Strong research and data gathering skills for property rights, title work, and market data
•Ability to read and comprehend deed descriptions, appraisals, title policies, and compliance with municipal, county, state, and federal regulations
