Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise teams on privacy laws related to clinical data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, product development, and the responsible use of sensitive information.
  • •Help scale cross-functional privacy programs aligned with HIPAA and U.S. privacy frameworks, including CCPA/CPRA and biometric privacy laws.
  • •Embed privacy into product development by partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Security, and Marketing from concept through launch.
  • •Support data sharing and ecosystem questions (vendors, partners, and internal platform services), including governance and contractual expectations with commercial counsel.
  • •Monitor evolving privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare, and AI regulations and maintain privacy and security policies, notices, and BAAs.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of legal experience at a technology company or technology-focused law firm.
  • •Experience leading, developing, advising, and evaluating privacy programs to ensure product compliance with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • •A practical, risk-based approach to balancing legal, regulatory, business, and customer considerations.
  • •Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • •Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
