Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and package underwriting submissions (applications, loss runs, ransomware and security supplementals, and supporting narratives).
  • •Market and track new and renewal business, analyze quotes, negotiate key terms (limits, retentions, sublimits, coinsurance, waiting periods, and coverage triggers), and drive timely quote delivery.
  • •Bind coverage, issue binders and certificates, review policies for accuracy, and manage endorsements and mid-term changes.
  • •Advise on core cyber coverage areas (network security and privacy liability, breach response/notification costs, business interruption and contingent BI, cyber extortion/ransomware, digital asset restoration, media liability, and social engineering/funds transfer fraud).
  • •Support producers and clients by explaining coverage, market conditions, underwriting expectations, and security control requirements (e.g., MFA, EDR, backups, privileged access management, and patching cadence).

Key Requirements

  • •Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • •3–5 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience (retail or wholesale), including submission preparation, marketing, and placement.
  • •Demonstrated experience placing cyber liability coverage, including familiarity with standalone cyber forms and carrier appetite.
  • •Solid understanding of commercial P&C fundamentals: policy structure, limits and retentions, primary vs. excess, and the renewal lifecycle.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; comfort working in an agency management system such as Epic.
