Lead end-to-end design, development, integration, and qualification of a containerized interceptor launch system and its ground support equipment. Own system lifecycle requirements flow-down, subsystem architecture across electrical, power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural domains, and manage technical reviews and baseline updates. Direct a 3–5 engineer team, coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers, mitigate technical risks, and drive test plans plus field deployment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end design and development of a 40-ft containerized interceptor launch system meeting performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
•Architect and validate major subsystems (electrical, power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural) and flow down system requirements to components.
•Oversee trades studies, design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR), and technical baseline management.
•Directly manage and develop a team of 3–5 engineers across mechanical, electrical, and systems disciplines.
•Lead system integration and qualification testing and support field deployment and operational readiness activities, coordinating with safety engineering for range and system safety compliance.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 145,000 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•8+ years progressive engineering experience in ground support, launch ground systems, or industrial/energy ground infrastructure.
•Hands-on experience in two or more system domains: electrical, power, pneumatic, hydraulic, or structural/mechanical systems.
•Experience leading or co-leading a multi-discipline engineering team on a hardware development program.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
