Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the senior quality focal for assigned production value streams, ensuring alignment with AS9100, the RTX QMS, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Lead investigations for customer-returned product, production escapes, and systemic issues; drive advanced RCCA and validate corrective actions through site-wide read-across.
  • •Own delivered quality improvement strategies using data analysis and cross-functional influence to reduce defects and support RTX Zero Defects initiatives.
  • •Oversee nonconforming material review (including MRB-level decision-making where applicable) with a focus on risk-based dispositions and CONC reduction; provide quality oversight in CRB activities.
  • •Lead quality support for new product introduction, including PPAP, ETQP, AS9102 FAI, process validation, and production transfer readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years.
  • •Expertise in advanced analytical problem solving including 8D, root cause analysis, Apollo, AS13000 methods, and statistical tools.
  • •Advanced knowledge of aerospace NPI/NPD, including APQP/Stride processes and quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, process flow, and process capability.
  • •AS9100 QMS expertise, including internal/external audits, documentation compliance, and leading audit readiness and closure of complex findings.
  • •Ability to lead continuous improvement using RTX CORE/Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, TPM, 5S, setup reduction, mistake proofing) and reduce cost of non-conformance.
