Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and execute vendor-level or multi-node interventions (e.g., full rack work, recabling, post-restart diagnosis) with risk assessment/rollback and vendor coordination (RMA/escalations).
  • •Perform advanced diagnostics by correlating compute/storage/interconnect/cooling symptoms using system indicators, BMC/IPMI consoles, and logs to identify root causes.
  • •Coach and uplift L1 engineers on safe practices (ESD/LOTO), first-line triage, rack craftsmanship, and documentation quality (no people management).
  • •Improve SOPs/checklists and build small Python/Bash automation for photo/serial capture, inventory sync, and dashboards/alerts to shorten MTTR.
  • •Enforce safety and compliance (lockout/tagout, ESD, PPE) and manage audit-ready tickets, evidence, change traces, plus advanced parts/logistics and spare strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in data center/server hardware or L2/L3 hardware support with complex hands-on work in production (HPC/AI/Cloud at scale).
  • •End-to-end hardware expertise across CPUs/memory/PCIe (including accelerators), NICs, PSUs, drives, network, power, and cooling (including DLC).
  • •Strong diagnostics ability using BMC/IPMI logs and Linux logs/CLI checks for methodical root-cause analysis.
  • •Impeccable safety discipline with ESD/LOTO/PPE and clean, auditable work practices.
  • •Ability to communicate clearly and coach L1 engineers during live operations; provide technical documentation.
