Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic technical leadership and policy advice to the Ministry of Health and stakeholders on integrated, evidence-based NCD prevention and control, health promotion, mental health, injury prevention, and road safety.
  • •Support implementation of WHO strategies and normative guidance (including WHO Global Action Plan on NCDs, WHO FCTC, WHO-PEN, and the Mental Health Action Plan).
  • •Strengthen integrated surveillance systems for NCDs, mental health, and injuries, including population-based surveys (STEPS, GATS, GSHS, GYTS) and routine health information systems.
  • •Lead multisectoral coordination and partnerships across government sectors and partners to support governance, accountability, and stakeholder engagement for health in all policies.
  • •Oversee planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program activities, produce technical reports and policy briefs, and contribute to resource mobilization and donor reporting.
