Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed and arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading.
  • •Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and facilitate routine service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical, background check, and required federal/state drug testing (safety-sensitive; contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen).
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
