Job Summary

Operate yard trucks to safely move and park trailers and trucks in and out of Tyson loading areas. Perform pre-trip safety inspections, communicate via radio with supervisors and receiving/shipping teams, and complete required paperwork and documentation. Support yard and plant operations as assigned, including maintaining accurate temperature settings and conducting temperature checks on inbound and outbound trailers while following all safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct pre-trip safety inspections of yard trucks and document results on required inspection forms.
•Operate yard trucks to move trailers safely and efficiently between yard locations and dock doors.
•Coordinate with supervisors and receiving/shipping team members, monitoring radio communications and maintaining timely communication.
•Promptly address operational needs and report issues throughout the shift, completing required data entry and documentation.
•Maintain eligibility requirements, including completing a non-DOT disclosure and release form for MVR review, and support yard/plant operations as assigned.

•Be 18 years of age or older.
•Have a valid driver’s license.
•Have no DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months.
