Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion PCBs.
  • •Create and maintain PCB/ECAD libraries.
  • •Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules, constraints, and DfT/DfM guidelines.
  • •Use PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of professional PCB layout experience, or 8+ years of PCB layout experience in lieu of a degree.
  • •8+ years of PCB layout and routing experience with modern passive/active electronics, surface-mount, RF components, fine pitch/BGA, or high pin-density components.
  • •3+ years of experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management.
  • •Demonstrated understanding of design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.
  • •Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer (Mentor Xpedition preferred).
