Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver quality primary lessons that motivate students and cater for different learning styles.
  • •Create and use teaching materials, classroom resources, and assessment plans; maintain records of curriculum, year plans, attendance, and teaching resources.
  • •Teach students according to individual needs using appropriate strategies (e.g., ESL, low academic ability, gifted and talented, late-entering students).
  • •Follow school policies and codes of conduct; promote student well-being, manage disruptive behavior, and monitor safe student conduct.
  • •Participate in appraisal and Performance Management, CPD, and collaborate on resources and courses; support co-curricular/extra-curricular programmes and communicate with parents regularly.

Key Requirements

  • •A recognised teaching qualification at degree level (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) in Primary Education.
  • •Minimum of three years’ successful experience teaching Primary, ideally including IB PYP (preferred but not essential).
  • •Experience or confidence teaching inquiry-based, discussion-led, concept-driven learning.
  • •Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
