Key Responsibilities

  • •Talk with customers across developer, startup, platform, and enterprise workflows to uncover needs and set the roadmap direction.
  • •Ensure the CLI, migrations, seeds, configuration, branches, and Git integration create a unified developer workflow and mental model.
  • •Own each launch outcome by defining measurement, thresholds, and post-read metrics (e.g., time to first migration and branch adoption).
  • •Capture customer evidence and define constraints (latency, capacity, cost per environment, data limits) to shape each bet’s targets.
  • •Align engineering, design, and leadership across roadmap execution through compute, storage, the CLI, dashboard, and GitHub integration.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of product management experience on developer tools, or strong product instincts as an ex-founder.
  • •Hands-on technical ability to form requirements from how the system actually works, including reviewing design discussions and getting into the code when needed.
  • •Shipped developer-workflow products and owned capabilities such as local development tooling, migrations, CI/CD, preview environments, or Git-integrated deploys.
  • •Understands tradeoffs across CLI vs dashboard, schema-only vs data environments, and branching/merging stateful systems.
  • •Biased toward action: breaks big bets into shippable pieces, measures speed to outcome, and avoids creating long-term support burdens.
