Job Summary

Lead process engineering for mining infrastructure projects, with a focus on pumping systems, pipeline networks, and water management. This hybrid role blends process engineering, hydraulic analysis, and pipeline/pumping system design, including concept through detailed deliverables like PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and hazard/SIL studies. You’ll provide technical assurance, mentor engineers, and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams across Australia and India.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design and analysis of pumping systems and pipeline/network systems (water, slurry, dewatering).
•Define system philosophy, including pumping strategy, overpressure/surge protection, and brownfield tie-ins.
•Undertake and lead process design deliverables such as material balances, PFDs/P&IDs, equipment lists/datasheets, and hydraulic calculations/reports.
•Perform and validate hydraulic modelling (PumpSim or equivalent) and support pipe sizing, pressure ratings, and pump selection/system curves.
•Provide technical assurance, conduct safety studies (HAZOP/LOPA, SIL assessment), and mentor engineers while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Requirements

•13-16 years of experience in process engineering.
•Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; master’s preferred.
•Experience working in a LEAN environment.
•Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills with excellent written and verbal English.
•Preferred: experience in projects in Australia and New Zealand (asset: PG diploma/certificate in Piping engineering; C. Eng/P. Eng).
