Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and negotiate commercial customer agreements, balancing risk mitigation with rapid revenue growth.
  • •Cultivate strong relationships with field sales and provide strategic counsel to close sales transactions and support go-to-market efforts.
  • •Maintain and update legal agreements, ensuring terms and internal policies enable growth while maintaining long-term stability.
  • •Provide pragmatic legal counsel to internal clients and customers based on understanding of Databricks’ technology, product portfolio, information security, and data privacy/compliance policies.
  • •Work cross-functionally with Finance, Information Security, Product, and Privacy to align policies and controls with global contracting processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of four (4) years of technology transactions experience, either at a law firm and/or in-house Attorney role.
  • •Experience drafting, negotiating, and closing complex software sell-side transactions and understanding contractual issues related to information security, data privacy, AI, and open source software.
  • •Experience negotiating SaaS commercial transactions and familiarity with consumption/commit-based business models and quarterly sales cadence.
  • •JD and good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • •Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
