Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as senior compensation advisor to Technology leadership across Engineering, Infrastructure, ML/AI, and Data Science, owning consequential decisions including contested offers, retention actions, annual equity awards, and leveling exceptions.
  • •Provide direction and counsel to Talent Directors and their teams and deliver recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional executives across Talent, Finance, and Legal.
  • •Own market positioning and benchmarking methodology for technical talent, including role evaluation that weights AI expertise, research impact, and scarce skills, plus survey participation strategy.
  • •Lead design, strategy, and execution of complex global compensation programs with accountability for cost, budget, and return on investment; shape adjacent Total Rewards programs such as pay equity and pay transparency.
  • •Build financial models projecting long-term implications of compensation strategy, and partner with regional Total Rewards teams to resolve conflicts between regional dynamics and global consistency.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 204,000 - 255,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of compensation or analytics experience, ideally supporting technical functions at a high-growth technology company in a global environment with familiarity of the AI/ML talent market.
  • •Proven track record serving as the primary compensation advisor to executive or C-level technical leaders, owning highest-stakes decisions and providing direction to Talent Directors and senior stakeholders.
  • •Demonstrated ownership designing and setting strategy for complex global compensation programs with financial accountability for cost and budgets, and experience leading cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous environments.
  • •Breadth across compensation including base pay structure design, equity/incentive design, job architecture/leveling, and pay equity.
  • •Advanced analytical skills using Excel/Google Sheets and proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, or R; familiarity with Workday Advanced Compensation and Tableau (or comparable platforms).
