Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform all sonography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies, protocols, and facility standards.
  • •Apply anatomical/physiological knowledge to produce diagnostic-quality images and acquire additional images when needed.
  • •Evaluate and assess images for quality, appropriateness, and completeness; forward images to the radiologist and provide preliminary reports.
  • •Ensure safe and competent use of ultrasound equipment and patient appliances; report incidents and equipment faults; maintain a clean working environment.
  • •Maintain quality and safety practices, infection-control precautions, documentation in the Hospital Information System and PACS, and comply with regulatory training and licensure requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc in Radiography or graduate from an accredited Radiography Diploma/Program (NLT 3 years syllabus).
  • •Graduate from an accredited Radiography program (NLT 2 years syllabus), e.g., the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • •Current National License.
  • •NLT 2 years post-graduate experience in ultrasound in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetric/gynecology, and abdominal sonography.
  • •Fluent spoken and written English; ability to work under pressure and maintain IT competencies.
