Job Summary

Perform quality control testing and monitoring of crushed aggregates, recycle materials, and hot mix asphalt mixtures at the New Hamburg site. Ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA and Tilcon environmental, health and safety procedures, provide timely test data to plant leadership, and recommend process/mix adjustments. Maintain QC/QA certifications and accurate records, support internal and external customers with specifications and test results, and assist with lab/plant best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform quality control testing and monitoring of crushed aggregates, recycle materials, and hot mix asphalt mixtures produced at the assigned location.
•Comply with OSHA and MSHA regulations and Tilcon environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
•Provide timely test data to the plant manager and other plant personnel, and recommend process and mix adjustments as required.
•Maintain current State agency QC/QA certifications and uphold the quality control program in compliance with agency specifications.
•Maintain accurate database and record logs, and support internal and external customers with material specifications and test results.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of practical work experience.
•Ability to carry out standardized laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
•Strict adherence to safety requirements and company procedures, including OSHA/MSHA compliance.
•Ability to work scheduled overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed, including emergency overtime.
•High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to use a computer to communicate/analyze data.
