Build and implement a next-generation analytical database on PB-scale datasets, using cloud-native distributed systems. You’ll analyze and optimize database engine components to improve availability and performance in large production clusters. Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement industry-leading distributed database systems using cloud-native architecture.
•Conduct deep-dive analysis and optimization of system and engine components for availability and performance at production scale.
•Design and build high-performance systems from zero-to-one, integrating hardware and software with business and cloud-native understanding.
•Identify and evaluate opportunities for new database technologies, including new hardware, intelligent optimizers, and lakehouse architectures.
•Explore and implement AI/LLM integrations with databases, including AI-driven operations/maintenance and AI agent-based assistants.

Key Requirements

•Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Strong computer science fundamentals including operating systems, databases, algorithms, data structures, networking, and probability/statistics.
•Excellent coding skills in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Golang.
•Familiarity with distributed algorithms and database systems.
•Experience in database kernel development or a strong desire to work in this field (preferred).
