Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical construction scopes across conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction phases.
  • •Develop and maintain mechanical cost plans, budgets, estimate updates, and forecasting models throughout delivery.
  • •Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and design documentation to quantify and estimate mechanical systems.
  • •Produce quantity takeoffs for HVAC systems, process piping, utility infrastructure, process cooling water systems, and related mechanical equipment.
  • •Review contractor/subcontractor estimates and proposals, lead estimate reconciliation, and evaluate/track change orders and related cost management activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • •7+ years of mechanical estimating, quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial management experience in construction.
  • •Experience supporting large-scale industrial/manufacturing and other complex construction projects (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center).
  • •Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems including HVAC, chilled water, process piping, utility infrastructure, and mechanical equipment.
  • •Proficiency with estimating/quantity takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, OST) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
