Key Responsibilities

  • •Set data storage vision & reference architectures for a resilient multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • •Architect and guide the evolution of BambooHR’s data storage technology, including relational, graph, and NoSQL components, to support UDM and API platform data innovations.
  • •Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to define and communicate the data architecture vision and strategy to executives and engineers.
  • •Lead design reviews, ADR/RFC processes, and guilds to de-risk major migrations and migrations across teams.
  • •Provide architectural guidance for Data & AI platform patterns, including data modeling, streaming, analytics, and evaluation/observability.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years designing and operating data storage technology at scale in cloud-native SaaS (AWS/GCP, MySQL, relational, graph database, NoSQL, caching, event systems, progressive delivery).
  • •Deep technical fluency in modern architectural patterns: event-driven systems, GraphQL federation, and emerging data/AI platforms.
  • •Experience mentoring and influencing architects and principal engineers to deliver resilient, secure, compliant, and cost-efficient multi-tenant SaaS.
