Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the design for AI-for-the-planet products (including Skylight and OlmoEarth), ensuring strong, intuitive experiences for complex workflows.
  • •Conduct and ground design in research and evidence, balancing user needs, mission requirements, and feasibility.
  • •Design data-heavy interfaces and patterns (e.g., tables, charts, dashboards, filtering/query, and model-related workflows) so users can make decisions.
  • •Create and evolve shared design systems, patterns, components, and tooling to help the team design and ship faster together.
  • •Use AI tooling to move faster (including building prototypes and collaborating via PRs) and continuously refine designs based on how users actually use them.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional product design experience shipping web applications and software products, working with product and engineering teams.
  • •Bachelor's degree.
  • •Exceptional design fundamentals across usability, user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and design systems.
  • •Experience designing data-intensive applications such as dense tables, charts, dashboards, filtering/query interfaces, and monitoring/alerting.
  • •A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project, showing end-to-end framing, research, decision-making, shipping, and iteration.
