Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise prospective and current students on accommodation options, applications, policies, legal requirements, and best practices for on-campus and off-campus housing.
  • •Support campus housing operations including policy/procedure updates, accommodation allocation, offer/contract issuance, and coordination with General Services for evacuation planning, maintenance, and safety response.
  • •Oversee room key issuance, student check-in procedures, inspections, and check-out processes, including security deposit coordination with Finance and the Registrar’s Office.
  • •Co-supervise the Residential Student Leader program by recruiting, training, scheduling, and providing day-to-day guidance to Residential Life Assistants and House Captains.
  • •Deliver inclusive residential life programming and pastoral support, including mediating conflicts, handling crises/emergencies, and producing incident reports and service data documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •At least four years of increasingly responsible experience in relevant fields (e.g., hospitality, property management, facilities management, or university accommodation services).
  • •At least two years of experience in university accommodation services, including a large-scale residential property.
  • •Demonstrable knowledge of best practices for delivering residential life services to students.
  • •Proven experience managing residential operations including applications, property/room assignments, inspections, and maintenance issue resolution.
  • •Willingness and ability to live on campus in MBZUAI accommodation and provide out-of-hours pastoral support when required.
