Job Summary

Analyze manufacturing methods to verify UPH, design processes, and conduct time and motion studies to recommend line improvements. Lead I.E. projects with cost management, ROI analysis, and cost/asset capacity data. Drive ergonomics and human factors improvements, facility/plant layout and material handling design, and support product introductions into volume manufacturing with PLC/ePLC deliverables. Partner cross-functionally to optimize internal transport of modules and set standards across manufacturing and logistics.

Job Function: Industrial, Process & Manufacturing Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Perform Methods Engineering analysis including UPH verification, process design, and time and motion studies to recommend manufacturing line improvements.
•Support factory cost management by leading I.E. projects, assisting implementations, and calculating ROI and project cost analysis.
•Lead ergonomics and human factors evaluations and recommend and implement improvements to work area designs.
•Develop and implement manufacturing facility design including plant layout, material handling systems, and material staging/warehousing.
•Support product introductions into volume manufacturing using PLC/ePLC deliverables, including manufacturing line design and setup, material flow design, and tooling/fixtures development and deployment.

Travel: Low travel

•Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in industrial engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
•Lead ergonomics and human factors evaluations and implement improvements to work area designs.
•Provide guidance to manufacturing and logistics on effective and efficient use of assets and production processes.
•Solve complex problems using judgment and analysis of multiple sources of information.
•May require physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces, and using hand and power tools; cleanroom PPE may be required.
