Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team, including required accommodations and modifications.
  • •Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other state-required special education documentation.
  • •Collect and analyze student data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals, then prescribe remediation and enrichment.
  • •Deliver rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences and support inclusion and student success in general education settings.
  • •Maintain grade book, prepare students for standardized tests, and communicate regularly with families, students, and learning coaches; travel up to 20% for testing and professional development as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and an active state teaching license.
  • •Alabama 6-12 Special Education teaching certificate and ability to clear required background check.
