Manage and monitor the credit quality and risk of a commercial real estate (CRE) portfolio, overseeing underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and ongoing risk-rating updates. Partner with relationship managers and credit officers to review delinquencies, collateral exceptions, criticized loans, and borrowing base items. Present credit actions to senior loan committees, conduct portfolio reviews, optimize profitable customer relationships, and mentor credit analysts while using Huntington commercial systems and cross-sell products.

Key Responsibilities

•Own primary responsibility for credit and monitoring of commercial portfolio risks.
•Underwrite and administer the portfolio, maintaining credit quality for assigned CRE customers.
•Manage delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base items, portfolio reviews, and criticized loans.
•Evaluate and mitigate business risks and opportunities to deepen and retain profitable customer relationships.
•Present proposed credit actions in written analysis and verbally to the Senior Loan Committee, and work with/mentor Credit Analysts.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or demonstrated knowledge and expertise.
•12+ years of related experience in CRE.
•Responsible for underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and ongoing credit quality for an assigned CRE portfolio.
•Ability to manage delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, portfolio reviews, soft exposure annual reviews, and criticized loans.
•Knowledgeable about commercial cross-sell products that may create credit exposure, and effective use of commercial segment IT systems.
