Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake overhead line design activities including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, and clearance reporting.
  • •Perform sag-tension calculations and support design recommendations such as damper systems, swing angle, and structural spotting.
  • •Support feasibility studies and conductor thermal ratings, identifying a technically preferred solution/layout for clients.
  • •Ensure projects meet safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • •Support delivery of engineering outputs including complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical discipline in electrical engineering or power engineering.
  • •Experience working on electrical design projects for transmission system operators such as National Grid, SSE, and SPT in line with their standards.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
