Job Summary

Monitor and improve manufacturing operations by analyzing cell performance and productivity, coordinating scheduling and shift handoffs, and executing the production plan against monthly delivery commitments. Partner with Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Product Control to remove schedule barriers while maintaining regulatory and customer compliance. Lead daily operations in Special Fab & Final assembly and drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor manufacturing operations by analyzing cell performance and productivity.
•Coordinate scheduling, sequencing of work, and effective shift handoffs with factory supervision.
•Execute the production plan and ensure monthly delivery commitments for each manufacturing program.
•Coach and review area technicians while leading daily operations in Special Fab & Final assembly.
•Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput, identifying cost reduction opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with at least 3 years).
•Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and/or Quality environments.
•Advanced detector packaging assembly experience, including laser welding, sub-assemblies, and precision alignment.
•Experience with manufacturing information systems.
•Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing, plus advanced knowledge of lab operations.
