Job Summary

Experienced equity research professional to join HSBC Asset Management’s Equity Research team in India. Lead fundamental analysis of Indian corporates, build and maintain detailed financial models, monitor ESG practices, and collaborate with global investment teams to support fund objectives. Engage with company management and stakeholders, contribute to strategy, and assist in client communications and market updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct fundamental equity analysis of Indian corporates and maintain a deep understanding of sector drivers to provide timely views to the investment team
•Interact with company management, sell-side analysts, and other market participants to formulate and research sectors and stocks
•Develop and maintain detailed financial models for the companies under coverage and update regularly
•Monitor ESG practices of covered companies and liaise with management to meet funds regulatory and stewardship objectives
•Collaborate with global and domestic investment teams and contribute to fund objectives and overall team strategy

Key Requirements

•CA/MBA from reputed institutes with 6-8 years of experience in fundamental equity analysis of Indian corporates
•Hardworking, self-driven with strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Experience in building detailed financial models for tracked companies and updating them periodically
•Ability to monitor ESG practices and liaise with management to support funds’ regulatory and stewardship objectives
•Willingness to interact with company managements, sell-side analysts, and investment teams to formulate views and research sectors and stocks effectively
