Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up machines and make fixtures for individual parts.
  • •Program and/or work with machining systems, including G-code or conversational programming (as applicable) and speed/feeds knowledge.
  • •Read standard and metric blueprints and perform machining checks using OD/ID mic’s, calipers, depth mic’s, scales, and tape measure.
  • •Maintain safe operation by following safety procedures and regulations.
  • •Support shift continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs; move between machines/assignments as workload shifts.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of experience working with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • •Good working knowledge of CNC equipment.
  • •Prior assembly or fabrication experience using a blueprint.
  • •Technical degree in Machine Shop preferred or enrolled in schooling; must be enrolled in college full-time.
  • •Ability to work with minimal supervision and be willing to work overtime (including weekends and holidays).
