Job Summary

Perform safe and efficient natural gas utility operations, including pipeline repairs and maintenance, valve inspection, construction and station maintenance, and natural gas appliance inspection and activation. Respond to natural gas emergencies with leak and odour investigations and coordination with relevant officials. Engage with external customers professionally, support distribution system protection/damage prevention, and participate in standby rotation and shift work while following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute operations work safely and efficiently, including pipeline repairs and maintenance, valve inspection, construction inspection, station maintenance, and natural gas appliance inspection and activation.
•Perform natural gas emergency response activities such as line-break response and leak and odour investigations, and liaise with fire/police and TSSA Inspectors as required.
•Interact with external customers professionally to build the company image.
•Promote distribution system protection/damage prevention awareness, including third-party observation activities.
•Perform high-quality work per company standards and procedures, maintain company uniforms and safety apparel, and participate in standby rotation and shift work.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 35.92 - 46.59 hourly

Key Requirements

•Minimum Grade 12 education (or equivalent) and an active interest in natural gas utility operations work with a willingness to learn from experienced team members.
•Able to obtain a Pipeline Inspector's Certificate (TSSA) for natural gas distribution utilities within the required timeframe.
•Progress satisfactorily through USR progression steps (C2 to A1).
•Hold and retain an appropriate driver’s license (G2 or G) and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
•Basic computer skills, mechanical reasoning test, and ability to work shifts and standby rotation while wearing appropriate safety and personal protective equipment.
