Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in tunnel engineering, geotechnical engineering, or geological engineering for large-scale underground projects (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •Advanced knowledge of tunnel construction methods and support system designs (e.g., TBM, roadheader, drill and blast, sequential excavation).
  • •Experience planning and directing field investigations, engineering analyses, and report/design preparation and/or field construction phase services.
  • •Experience managing teams and using industry-standard analysis and design software such as SAP2000, AutoCAD, FLAC, and GeoStudio (or related tools).
  • •Preferred: Advanced degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering, plus relevant California professional/registration credentials and/or experience with international tunneling standards.
