Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the design phase of water and flood risk projects, including creating/modifying drawings, producing calculations, and completing design tasks.
  • •Provide project management support by helping with research, data gathering, and preparing reports.
  • •Participate in field visits, including site surveys, inspections, and shadowing experienced engineers during supervision.
  • •Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.
  • •Work with your manager and team to structure and prioritise work effectively, meeting client and business expectations.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
  • •MEng in a related Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering MSc would be an advantage.
  • •Demonstrable interest in water projects and willingness/ability to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
  • •Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, verbally and in writing, and work independently while prioritising tasks.
