Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and deliver a clear, data-informed product strategy and roadmap supporting platform modernisation and ongoing optimisation.
  • •Prioritise opportunities that balance customer value, business outcomes, technical dependencies, and reduction of legacy complexity and tech debt.
  • •Drive underwriting process improvements, including referral optimisation, rating enhancements, and data integration.
  • •Partner with underwriting, technology, and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear product direction.
  • •Manage and prioritise the backlog and lead delivery across complex initiatives with dependencies across multiple squads and systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as a Product Owner within general insurance, ideally with exposure to underwriting environments or SME portfolios.
  • •Understanding of underwriting processes, including referral rules, risk assessment, and rating logic.
  • •Experience working with underwriting or broker platforms (or equivalent competitor systems) and the ability to transfer that knowledge.
  • •Ability to operate across product and analysis, including shaping requirements and stepping into BA-level responsibilities where needed.
  • •Comfort working in multi-squad environments, managing dependencies, and driving outcomes across interconnected teams.
