Job Summary

Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Zurich’s SME General Insurance underwriting and product capabilities. Work across broker platforms and connectivity to simplify partner integrations and deliver seamless digital experiences. Partner with underwriting, technology, and delivery teams in a hands-on product trio to translate business needs into product direction, prioritise a high-value backlog, and lead delivery across complex, multi-squad initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and deliver a clear, data-informed product strategy and roadmap supporting platform modernisation and ongoing optimisation.
•Prioritise opportunities that balance customer value, business outcomes, technical dependencies, and reduction of legacy complexity and tech debt.
•Drive underwriting process improvements, including referral optimisation, rating enhancements, and data integration.
•Partner with underwriting, technology, and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear product direction.
•Manage and prioritise the backlog and lead delivery across complex initiatives with dependencies across multiple squads and systems.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience as a Product Owner within general insurance, ideally with exposure to underwriting environments or SME portfolios.
•Understanding of underwriting processes, including referral rules, risk assessment, and rating logic.
•Experience working with underwriting or broker platforms (or equivalent competitor systems) and the ability to transfer that knowledge.
•Ability to operate across product and analysis, including shaping requirements and stepping into BA-level responsibilities where needed.
•Comfort working in multi-squad environments, managing dependencies, and driving outcomes across interconnected teams.
