Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance in a mobile/field environment for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues, road-test vehicles, and complete DOT forms and repair orders. Manage parts inventory on your service truck and maintain safety compliance (OSHA/EPA/DOT), working independently while supporting customers and fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, using test instruments and road tests.
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; prioritize and manage concurrent tasks.
•Independently manage parts inventory/equipment on the service truck and reconcile inventory periodically.
•Document repair orders and DOT forms, upload photos of work performed, and maintain compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT safety requirements.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ experience).
•At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
•Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Ability to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
•Current and valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical if card validity is 4 months or less).
