Location: Malaga, Madrid
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Sr. Manager level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate reusable backend services that expose clean APIs to other domains, with client data and permissions as the source of truth.
  • •Lead migrations retiring legacy integrations (e.g., Salesforce-to-BOS sync) and move domain logic out of Salesforce into purpose-built services.
  • •Collaborate with teammates, product managers, designers, and engineering leaders to design new services via the RFC process and deliver end-to-end features.
  • •Take full ownership of development and maintenance under a “You build it, you own it” philosophy, including reliability practices like monitoring and observability.
  • •Build production-grade AI components (automated chat responses and deterministic workflow triggers) and implement orchestration with durable workflow engines like Temporal.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years backend software engineering (Senior) / 7+ years with cross-domain architectural impact (Staff), with distributed-systems and cloud-native depth.
  • •Production backend depth: data modeling, API design, async patterns, idempotency, and failure modes in microservices using Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
  • •Source-of-truth systems design: clear data-contract and ownership boundaries, and understanding consistency/sync vs async trade-offs.
  • •Experience in fintech or financial services.
  • •AI literacy: production experience integrating LLMs or readiness to apply RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation within strict data-access boundaries.
