Job Summary

Direct the Leverage Finance portfolio management team’s oversight of commercial loan portfolios, including underwriting quality, ongoing portfolio monitoring, and portfolio administration. Perform cash flow analysis and modeling, capitalization review, industry research, and credit policy and legal documentation to assess client and prospect creditworthiness. Partner closely with Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, and Treasury Management, while mentoring colleagues and providing front-end guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
•Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans and proactively identify emerging risks.
•Manage portfolio administration including delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, and product renewals.
•Attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners; serve as secondary bank contact for covered clients.
•Maintain market/industry knowledge through research, and review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree.
•8+ years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment.
•Formal credit training.
•Experience in the syndicated loan market.
•Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ and Microsoft Excel.
