Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the standing technical accounting partner to Product and Engineering for new products, features, and pricing changes.
  • •Write technical accounting memos and position papers for new/changed products, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 topics.
  • •Design, build, and maintain the chart of accounts across new and existing products and entities.
  • •Map customer journey stages (onboarding through reversal/write-off) to correct GL treatment end to end and ensure pre-launch spec review.
  • •Own reconciliations between product/transaction data and the general ledger, resolving breaks at source and partnering with audit stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with 8+ years post-qualification experience, including Big 4 technical accounting or audit background.
  • •Strong working knowledge of IFRS 15 (revenue) and IFRS 9 (financial instruments), plus IFRS more broadly.
  • •Experience translating product or system design into accounting treatment and GL structure, not only reviewing after the fact.
  • •Comfortable reading product specs and communicating directly with engineers and product managers.
  • •Ability to document accounting treatment properly and run it as a living chart of accounts with appropriate controls.
