Design and estimate natural gas distribution work for new business, maintenance, system improvements, and code compliance. Key Responsibilities

•Design and estimate distribution work for new business, maintenance, system improvements, replacements, regulator stations, and metering installations in line with company standards and policies.
•Provide technical assistance and direction to other personnel completing designs and estimates, and update/maintain documentation of completed field work.
•Review construction plans from outside sources for potential conflicts and recommend actions to prevent or remove them.
•Provide technical expertise to designers and make engineering recommendations based on the physical condition of transmission and distribution systems.
•Collaborate with operations supervision and other departments to ensure safe, reliable delivery, support business systems usage, and participate in improvement initiatives and special projects.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 71,100 - 172,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university (required).
•Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain one in Illinois (preferred).
•Engineering experience (preferred).
•Good analytical, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills.
•Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders to reach consensus.
